Quick Zip is a powerful and fast compression utility.

Quick Zip features no ads, no spyware and has been a completely free archiver since 1999. It is not intended to act as a clone of another archiver. Instead, we aim to provide a cleaner and more powerful interface.

Quick Zip can create different formats (zip, cab, lha, tar, tgz, bz2, bza, 7z, sqx, rs) and reads several popular formats (zip, cab, lha, tar, tgz, bz2, bza, 7z, sqx, rs, rar, ace, arj, gca, bel, zoo, pak, cpt, arg, asd, dzip, shar, zac, MacBin, Compress, Freeze, Splint, Jam) as well as various kinds of encoding formats without using any external programs.

Additional features include creating SFX (self-extracting module), integrated multimedia viewer, enhanced file list generation with grouping support. A backup script generator Is included to provide one step backup support for your files.
QuickZip provides easy to use filtering techniques (e.g. filename wildcards, size) to search for files inside of an archive. You can also use archive finder to search for matching archives on your hard drive.

• When dragging  entries, a ghost image shown next to the mouse cursor.
